Points Races 1. Eligibility for the points racesMembership must be paid before or on the day of the "Fanny Freezer 5k" to be eligible to earn points in our annual Points Series. 2. Age group placementThis is determined by your age at the start of the race year (January 1st) and will be group you will go into for the race year. Example: You are 44 on January 1st, 2019, in March you turn 45. Your points be calculated in the 40-44 age group. FWRC Age Groups 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over3. Point distribution Club Series races will award points based on your placement. Your placement is only relative to FWRC members that participate in the event. 1st place - 100 points, 2nd place - 85 points, 3rd place - 75 points4th place - 50 points, 5th place - 40 points,6th place - 25 points, 7th place - 20 points, 8th place - 15 points, 9th place - 10 points> 9th place 5 points. Friendship Series races will have set points awarded for finishing. AwardsThere will be 3 possible Race Series awards; Club Series Award, Friendship Series Award, or Ironrunner Award. See Ironrunners page for more information. 5. Race volunteer You may volunteer at any of the six FWTC managed races (Fanny Freezer, Nutri-Run, JP Jones, Runners on Parade, Run for Riley and Turkey Trot). Volunteers will receive points for their time. Point amounts yet to be determined but will be based on your volunteer role (membership table/packet pick-up or course marshal). You may only receive volunteer points once during the course of the year. Also you cannot receive volunteer points and age group placement points at the same event.
