FAQ

WATER STOPS AND MILE MARKERS: Water stops will be located around miles: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 11.5 of the half and towards the middle of the 5k. Gatorade at all miles except mile 2. Mile Markers will be at every mile in both races. Finish clock at the finish line. Porta potty at mile 3.25 and mile 10. There is a 3 hour time limit on the half marathon and the age requirement for the half marathon is 10 years old and up. We must start tearing down finish line at 11:05am!!!

REFRESHMENTS: Water, fruit, cookies and pizza will be waiting for all finishers near the finish line. After party at Greek's Pizzeria starting at 9:30 am. One free beer to all finishers 21 and over with a valid ID and 15% off all menu items at Greek's Pizzeria

FINISHERS MEDALS: All half marathon finishers will receive a one of a kind Zionsville Half Marathon medal. All 5k finishers will also receive a finishers medal

PARKING: Free public parking all around the downtown Zionsville Village. There are also two public lots a few blocks to the South of the starting line.

RACE MORNING: There is no gear check. This is a smaller race between 400-600 runners. Get your packets race morning at Greek's Pizzeria located at 30 North Main Street. There are two restrooms inside and porta johns out back. A few minutes prior to 8am, Main Street will be closed to traffic and runner will be moved onto Main for the start. All corners will be marked with signs or chalked on the road. There will also be volunteers stationed around the course in orange shirts. Police and bike escorts will lead both races. 3 hour time limit.

AWARDS AND PRIZE MONEY: Prize money to top three male and female runners in the half marathon.

1st - $125, 2nd - $75, 3rd - $50, 1st place Masters - $50, $100 bonus if the male winner of the half runs under 1:08 and female runs under 1:16. Nice gift package to overall winners as well. Overall male and female in the 5k will receive a gift certificate and other special items. Age group awards in both the half marathon and 5k run. 10 year age increments ending with the 70 and over age group. Medals to all finishers in both races.
