About This Event

Create a new downtown Holiday tradition.

EXCITING NEW RACE LOCATION: The Gingerbread Pursuit is the FIRST race event to be held at the NEW Promenade Park.

Start on Superior adjacent to the park, then head east, you will hook up to run on the Greenway near the east side of downtown. Then run along the Rivergreenway back to downtown, past the confluence, past the Old Fort, and along the St. Mary's River, turning south on the bridge to finish back at Promenade Park.

Runners will enjoy gingerbread cupcakes, cookies, and hot cider all in the new Promenade Park Pavilion. Enjoy Fort Wayne's newest downtown attraction.

The race helps promote the Gingerbread Festival at The History Center and each runner will get a free entry to the Festival after the race; your race bib number is your entry to the Festival. It is amazing to see all the Gingerbread structures created for this Holiday tradition.

Part of your entry goes to support The History Center in its effort to bring heritage education to elementary students.
Route: As we are changing and remeasuring the race route, we'll have details as we approach the race date.

Parking
Please try to arrive early on race morning to ensure you have plenty of time to park. There are many parking opportunities downtown. The start AND finish will be at the new Promenade Park along the St. Marys River at Superior and Harrison.
