14th Annual Run for Riley featured by ProFed Credit Union
Message from FWRC Board: Due to the governor's recent statements regarding Covid-19 precautions, we are currently reevaluating the policies and procedures for the remaining races on our 2020 schedule. The FWRC board will make an announcement after our next monthly board meeting (May 13, 2020) regarding each of these races. Thank you for your understanding, patience, kindness and continued support.
Join the Fort Wayne Running Club as we continue the tradition of supporting Riley Children's Hospital with one of the largest running events in Fort Wayne: The 13th Annual Run for Riley. Participants may choose between the 5 mile race or an untimed 5k fitness walk to show their support.
The 2020 Run for Riley will not feature a year-specific shirt. Due to the unprecedented circumstances of COVID-19, our committee has decided to instead donate those funds to Riley Hospital for Children. We have been blessed with a tremendous number of excess shirts from our last two years and any registered participant will be able to receive a shirt from any of our current stock. We will not be guaranteeing sizes and shirts are available while they last. Participants will still receive a standard goodie bag just as in years past. An anonymous donor has pledge to match the registration of the first 300 participants, so know that your registration will be doubled!
Packet pickup will occur on Saturday, Oct 10th, 2020 from 11-4pm at Fleet Feet Fort Wayne, 5661 Coventry Ln, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 If the current restrictions prevents this from happening, we will communicate through various social and public mediums this change. Packet pickup will be guaranteed starting at noon on Sunday until 1:45pm on race afternoon.
NOTE: The Packet Pickup location and venue of this event is subject to change up to, and possibly including, a change of venue or being converted into a virtual event. Please be aware of this before signing up. Race organizers may be forced to make this change at any point up to the day of the event, so please pay attention to any announcements made as we follow local governmental guidance for this event. We will continue our standard policy of no refunds, as all race registration funds go directly to Riley Hospital for Children.
