39th Annual Fort Wayne Running Club Banquet presented by Parkview Sports Medicine feature Andy Bayer and Dan Huling

The 2017 39th Annual Fort Wayne Running Club Banquet, which will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the formation of the Fort Wayne Running Club (previously known as the Fort Wayne Track Club) will be Sunday January 29th .
Once again it is at the Parkview Mirro Center for Research and Innovation with the clinic starting at 3pm and dinner program beginning at 5pm. Register to join the celebration and presentations.

Last year's banquet was a huge success with guest speaker ultra-runner Scott Jurek. We had our largest turnout ever--- 365. . We have once again booked the Mirro Center for this year's event which will take place on January 29, 2017.

This year the banquet will feature two speakers, who are well-known in both the local, national, and international running community. Coming from one of the most accomplished professional teams, The Bowerman Track Club, steeplechasers Andy Bayer and Dan Huling offer their personal and professional perspective on "Being a Team."

Andy Bayer, a home grown Hoosier who ran for Leo High School and Indiana University. His accomplishments include:

2008 IHSAA 3200 meter State Champion
2012 NCAA Champion Men's 1500m
2012 Olympic Trials Finsiher Men's 1500m (4th place)
6 Time Big 10 Champion and 11 Time NCAA DI All-American
USATF Nationals 7th Place Finisher
2016 Olympic Trials Men's 3000m Steeplechase (4th Place)

Dan Huling ran for Miami University and has been with the BTC since 2012. His accomplishments include:

Multiple World Championship Qualifier Men's 3000m Steeplechase
2010 USATF Champion Men's 3000m Steeplechase
2010 achieved Top 10 All-time US Performance Men's 3000m Steeplechase

Banquet Schedule:
3:00pm- 4:30pm: Clinic titled "Taking Your Training To The Next Level"
4:30pm- 5:00 pm- Social time and autographs with speakers
5:00pm-6:30pm: Invocation, Buffet Dinner (chicken and vegetarian option) Annual FWTC Awards (Points Awards, Ironrunner Awards, Spirit of Running, Golden Shoe, Volunteer of the Year, Presidents Award and Outstanding High School Distance Runners)
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm- Dan Huling and Andy Bayer Presentation Titled:
"Being A Team", Questions/Answers, Closing Remarks

The free clinic topic will be, "Take Your Training to a New Level, " and will focus on providing the running community with inspirational training ideas and motivating goals.

Fort Wayne Running Club Members: $20 till 10/31/16 then $25 till 12/31/16 , then $30.
Non-members: $30
