Build A Home-Run 5k

The Kosciusko Board of REALTORS® is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual 5K
“BUILD A HOME-RUN/WALK”. The family-friendly summer event will be held on Saturday July 16, 2016 at 8 a.m. at the Winona Lake Trails, Winona Lake, Indiana. 100% of proceeds will benefit a current Habitat home build on behalf of the Ratliff family of Warsaw. After husband and father of three, Lee, had a terrible accident making him incapable of keeping his job, the family wasn’t sure when they’d be able to ever afford a home of their own. With Habitat for Humanity, though, they have gained a team of people, including the REALTOR® family, who want to help them and support them through the process. “It’s not just building a house,” says Lee. “It builds a family, and I think that’s awesome.” By sharing the same vision as Habitat, to provide safe, affordable housing in Kosciusko County, REALTORS® hope to make an impact in the lives of this and other families and also benefit our county by providing stable home occupancy.
The event will be a pleasurable 5K (3.1 mile) Run/Walk on the Trails of Winona Lake. Medals will be awarded to both the overall Male and Female winner and 2nd and 3rd place plus 1st Place Medals for Age Groups from kids to senior’s. In addition, all advanced registrants will receive T-Shirts!
Registration is $20 per adult and $15 per kids (13 and under) with a special family rate.
