This first-of-spring race at beautiful Pokagon State Park just off I-69 and Interstate 80/90 toll road is perfect for a weekend away. You will appreciate the uncongested park setting, friendly local volunteers, race organization, post-race care and excellent healthy food when you finish. The race includes two and three person teams, Athena and Clydesdale divisions and a youth division for teens 15-17. The course was designed by experienced triathletes and has become a traditional season-opener for many. The swim is out-back in Lake James; participants normally use wet suits. The run is true cross-country, including woods and prairie areas; the bike race travels through rural Steuben County. Olympic/Sprint distances are: 1500/750 meter swim; 40/20 K bike; 10/5 K run. Duathlon is sprint distance run/bike/run. Please visit the web site for more complete course information. Awards for: Overall, Masters, Athena, Clydesdale, first Teams, 5-year age divisions.
